Currently Reading: The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

With courage, grace and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of WWII and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war.; The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France--a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women.; It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

Our teen book club is so cool it has it's own site... click here to check out what our young adult readers suggest and think about different books Teen Book Club.
This book club is unique - we don't all read the same book at the same time.  It's an opportunity to share your thoughts and make recommendations of books you think others might enjoy.  We encourage all comments (but please be respectful of your fellow readers!).

This is also not a typical book club.  Instead of reading a book and discussing it, we play games and do activities that we hope will encourage the development of literary skills like reading, comprehension and creative thinking.  Some past activities have included scavenger hunts, story stones, trivia and sharing favourite books. If you have any questions about the book club please contact us at 519-595-8395.
